Little Cabin Island

Little Cabin Island
Amenities & How to Get Here!

Little Cabin sits on its own ¼ acre island in Annabessacook Lake. Enjoy 1400 acres of pristine surroundings in this rustic, off-grid (NO ELECTRICITY) cedar log cabin. The island’s natural landscape allows for spectacular views, bird watching and fishing. Sit on the dock, rest in a hammock, or relax by the fire pit and soak up the sun and stars.

The open concept 600 square foot cabin has a sleeping loft with a comfortable queen bed. The living room is furnished with a futon that opens into a full size bed, a Morris-style rocking chair, a dining table for four, and a wood stove (we supply plenty of firewood.) The kitchen has a retro look with an old-fashioned pitcher pump, a two-burner propane stove, pots, pans, cooking utensils and dishes. The composting toilet is enclosed in a separate room.

How to get here:

FREE PARKING AND A FERRY RIDE! Getting to the island typically involves driving to our lakeside parking area and a 10- minute ferry ride (that is included in your rate). The check-in ferry runs promptly at 2pm and 5pm. Please text Jo at 207-752-1190 on the morning of your arrival to confirm which check-in ferry you will be taking.

Special ferry runs are available for check-in, by prior arrangement, for a $20 per run fee.

You can always paddle to the island with one of our canoes or kayaks at no charge. It’s about a mile, or a half hour paddle. All check-ins must be completed before sunset.

When you arrive:

Turn in the driveway and go left down the dirt road to the parking area. Text Jo at 207-752-1190 to let us know you’ve arrived. Look for a wheelbarrow there to move your gear the rest of the way to the dock. Let us know if you need some help, we are happy to pitch in getting your party loaded onto the boat.
